To convert Trinidad and Tobago into a country with zero emissions and waste, self-sufficient in staple foods and whose agro-based exports exceed our imports.
Carbon Capture Use and Storage
Trinidad and Tobago is the second highest emitter of CO2 per capita in the world with emissions of over 2.4 bcf of CO2 per day. Whilst we have subscribed to the Paris Agreement as a country, we have not yet found a way to make a meaningful reduction in our CO2 emissions.
Our goal as a foundation is reduction of and eventually, total elimination of, all carbon dioxide emissions in T&T by the sequestration of the CO2 emitted in T&T into existing oil and gas wells in depleted or partially depleted fields into producing reservoirs and/or into saline aquifers in salt water saturated reservoirs within old depleted oil and gas fields.
Our model is the Weyburn Field in Canada where through a public-private sector partnership, 35 million metric tonnes of CO2 have been sequestered at a current annual rate of 2 mm tonnes per year (300 mmcfd) with an accompanying increase in oil production to over 25,000 barrels oil per day.

Energy Transformation
T&T was at one time at the forefront of “clean energy” generation by using natural gas, the cleanest fossil fuel, to generate 100 % of its electricity. Times have changed however, and the world is moving away from fossil fuels to renewables like the use of wind and photovoltaics to generate electricity. Other renewables like hydro from dams, streams, tidal movements, waves are also used in more site specific applications.
We will work to ensure that the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago moves to do all that it can to reduce carbon emissions in other areas of activity by assisting in:
• Conversion of all electricity generation in T&T to 100% renewables
• Conversion of all transport vehicles in T&T to fully electric vehicles
T&T is a signatory to the Paris Agreement and has committed to reducing its carbon emissions.
As a start the Governement has signed a contract with Lightsource Renewable Global Development Limited (Lightsource Bp), Shell Trinidad and Tobago Limited and Bp Alternative Energy Trinidad and Tobago Limited to build two photovoltaic generating plants in Trinidad totaling 110 mw or roughly 8% of the national grid.
As a country however, we need to also focus on smaller scale projects at the home and small company/institution level. These have multiple benefits like grid stabilisation, reduction of natural gas usage and cost reduction to the user.
We will be lobbying to ensure that long promised legislation is put in place and will be building demonstration projects and giving lectures and talks to all interest groups

Waste Elimination
We will work to ensure that the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago moves to do all that it can to reduce and ultimately eliminate types of particulate waste.
Sustainable Development
We will work to ensure that the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago moves to do all that it can to eliminate the need to import staple foods
